P K Tikku 1955-1957 I lived in the neighborhood, Phoenix House, 204 London Road, Chelmsford way back in 1955-57 when the building housed Overseas and British Apprentices under- going training in Crompton’s Shops on Writtle Road. Naturally I spent many an evening in the premises. I am sad it is demolished.
