The Fighting Cocks was situated on
Darlington Road. This pub was known as Platform 1 at time of closure. This
pub was present when the Stockton to
Darlington Railway line opened in 1825, and was used as a Coal Depot, Ticket Office, and
Inn for this first public railway line, the bi-centenary of which occurs in
2025. |
