The Hourglass was situated on Eaglesfield Road. This pub closed in 2019 and failed to sell at auction, so was sold post-auction. It suffered severe fire damage on September 7th 2021. In December 2022, plans were submitted to Hartlepool Council to demolish the fire-ravaged building and build 9 bungalows for ‘elderly’ residents.
