The Black Prince was situated at 8 Laira Place. This pub was opened in 1868 as The Laira Hotel and was renamed The Black Prince in 1981.

Pete Skelton	2003/2005	I remember The first Owner (Albert), His friend Jim, Barmaid Charmaine, and quite Few other regulars but dont remember all of their names butwill probably remember me lol...Then A Man called Dave took over..Now 10 years Later I was going to go Back but its not there Anymore...Was my Favourite Pub as Im From Newcastle and it was a Newcastle United based Pub
