The Chopping Knife Inn was situated on the High Street. This pub was present by 1774, when in was known as The Rolling Pin. By 1843 it was known as The Cropping Knife. It burnt down in 1862 and was rebuilt. Closed in 1890 to become a shop and is now used as a Chinese restaurant.
