The Cavalier

The Cavalier was situated on West Street. This grade-II listed pub was previously known as The Western Hotel and is now used as a pizzeria.
 
Listed building details:
Early C19 red brick corner building, now painted. Asbestos slate hipped roof with oversailing eaves. Three storeys. West Street elevation two bays. Sash windows with glazing bars under flat rubbed brick arches with keyblocks. Central doorway with panelled pilasters, entablature, panelled reveals and panelled door. Modern hood over ground storey. Church Street return: roughcast, two bays, right hand moulded doorcase with entablature.
