The Queen Adelaide was situated at Snelston Common. This
was a very plain farm-estate pub with a central drinking-area facing the
serving-counter behind which the old licensee would draw a fine pint of
Pedigree by means of a pump contraption peculiar to the pub. A room to the
left was available for withdrawing to, if desired. The pub was sold by the
estate to a developer while still serving a useful, if not profitable,
purpose. |
