The Nags Head was situated on South Street. This was a small two roomed Shipstones tied house. I only went in here a couple of times before it closed, this was to play table skittles and they used to lay on a big spread for us to eat from the local chippy. I think this pub closed down around 1981 and now comprises part of Thorpes furniture store.
