The Vine was situated at 121 Abbey Street. It was built around 1862 and owned by Altons Brewery. It closed in 1991 and was boarded up until Allied sold it in 1994, its original sash windows acid etched with Bar were removed and UPVC windows fitted in place. The pub was turned into offices for printing firm Anvil Press.
