Bell & Castle

The Bell & Castle was situated at 86-92 Burton Road. Built in 1801, it was run from 1851 to 180 by John Allen. It was owned by Offilers brewery in the 1930s, and then Bass. A grade II listed building, it closed in May 2012 and is due to be converted into an Indian restaurant.

Now reopened as a real ale pub.
