The Prospect was situated at 2 Prospect
Street. This beerhouse was present by 1869 and closed in 1914 under the
Compensation Act. |

I have just found a newspaper article
that stated that my distant cousin Job lived at the above pub in 1920:
Derbyshire Courier 6 November 1920. Intrigued as I can find no mention of
it.
Job died in 1932 when he drowned in the River Rother while getting water for
some ponies he looked after. |
