The Prospect

The Prospect was situated at 2 Prospect Street. This beerhouse was present by 1869 and closed in 1914 under the Compensation Act.
I have just found a newspaper article that stated that my distant cousin Job lived at the above pub in 1920: Derbyshire Courier 6 November 1920. Intrigued as I can find no mention of it.
Job died in 1932 when he drowned in the River Rother while getting water for some ponies he looked after.
