The Brown Lion was situated at 7 Market Place. This grade-II listed pub is now used as a fish and chip shop.

Listed building details:

Late C18 stucco facade, with painted imitation timbering but actual earlier timber frame exposed internally. 2 storeys, 2 penthouse additions at the sides with central gabled porch. 2 casements, top floor early C19, ground floor reproduction windows with leading. Tiled roof.
