Whitehaven Harbour

The Whitehaven Harbour was situated on the Old Quay.  This grade-Ii listed pub is now used as the Watch House. In 1778 it was used by the militia of the John Paul Jones raiding party on the harbours 400 berthed vessels where they failed to destroy the ships and ended up supping ale here.
