The Three Tuns was situated on the corner of Duke Street and Scotch Street.
This was a bikers pub when I first drank in there. Where the 2 vehicles are parked above would back then be motorbikes. It was then a Matthew Brown house run by Jack Carr. A local legend. Then it became a Robinsons Brewery house. More recently it’s been a Freehouse as displayed above the door. After complaints about noise levels the pub is now closed indefinitely. The current owner reckons he isn’t prepared to spend any more money on sound proofing the pub.
