The pub was situated on the corner of Strand
Street and Lowther Street. My grandfather George Robertson Hawkins was
landlord in the 1920s. He lived at 50 Lowther Street. It was a corner house
and had two addresses. The pub was entered from Strand Street hence the pub
address was Strand Street. |
