The Horn was situated at 12 Market Place. This pub closed in 2010 and has now been converted into apartments. It was originally known as The Globe.

The shield above the door depicts the Horn of Egremon. William Wordsworth wrote a poem entitled The Horn of Egremont Castle, and tradition has it that a horn hung at the castle gate "which could only be sounded by the true lord of the castle.
