The Eden Hotel was situated at 9-11 Front Street.

This late 18th century building, similar in design to the Howard Arms next door, is Grade II Listed as Nos. 7 E and D Young, Jewellers, 11 T and M Savage, Freezer Food Centre and 9 flat above. It was formerly the Eden Hotel. In his 1967 publication Pevsner dates the two hotels next door to each other as 'early 19th century no doubt'. The premises was first licenced for betting in September 2007. Planning granted conversion from two to one shop in August 2006. Two years earlier, planning granted 'Refurbishment of and alterations to existing shops/flats to provide 2no. shop units and 4no. apartments'. I looked in my 8 directories 1847-1914 and Eden Hotel/House is not mentioned suggesting the hotel was a 20th century business and subsequently named the house.
