The Admiral Boscawen was situated on Trafalgar Square. This pub was probably so-named in commemoration of the opening of the new Boscawen Bridge in 1849. The new bridge was named 'Boscawen' as an expression of gratitutde to George Henry Boscawen for his work on the new road. In the 1950s the name was changed to The Admiral Boscawen after Admiral Edward Boscawen. It was demolished to make way for a new roundabout in the 1960s and replaced by this pub of the same name.
