The Cotton Arms was situated on Cholmondeley Road This pub closed in 2023.  It dates back to the 16th century and ttakes its name from Sir Stapleton Cotton, 1st Viscount Combermere 1773-1865, who served with the Duke of Wellington in the Peninsular War.
