The Tiviot

The Tiviot was situated at 8 Tiviot Dale.

My mum who's nearly 70 used to travel to the pub when she was a child to help her aunt Peggy Hollinshead who owned and ran the pub in the 60s. We're are an irish family who originally came from Limerick this was the first pub the family had it looks untouched for year. below the pub is a cellar which was rumoured to be haunted my grandfather told me before he died a lady died down there by drowning strange it may seem but apparently she drowned in a near by river or canal and became trapped. It's so sad the pub has run into disrepair
