Lamb Inn

The Lamb Inn was situated on Woodford
Road. This is an old Victorian looking 3 storey building. On old tithe maps
of Bramhall from the 1840’s and on old OS maps from the late 19th Century
this building is marked as ‘Lamb Inn’. I don’t know when it was converted to
a pair of houses. I also found that the occupier of a cottage and garden on
the opposite side of the road from the building was listed in the tithe map
as John Thorniley and the owner is Samuel Drabble. The same two are listed
on the Tithe map also as the Occupier and Owner of the ‘Public House and
garden’ opposite. |
