The Barn Meadow was situated at 51 Ashton Street. This pub has now been demolished.

My great grandfather Samuel Alfred Clayton ran the pub The Barn Meadow with his wife Mary Clayton and son Frank and daughter Kathleen, he committed suicide In 1927 or 1929. I know he was in debt and didn't want to burden anyone with his problems he was also a member of the buffalos who helped people who were struggling.
