This pub is now used as Gallaghers, a bar and
barber shop. |

The pub opened in 1826 as The Hamlet,
in the 1980's it was renamed The Chester Arms and in 1990's The Dispensary.
We called it Gallaghers as our barbers shops were called that and we wanted
to trade on our good name. So The Dispensary was just another manifestation
of this fine pub. As an update the pub as Gallaghers has had a very
successful 10 years and if we can survive the ridiculousness that is covid
we hope to go on for another 10. |
