The Golden Cross was situated on the High
Street. This grade-II listed building is now used as a private residence. |

building details: |
C16 to 17 altered. Two storeys.
Timber frame and colour washed brick infill, some herringbone. Thatch roof,
part tiled. L-shaped with gabled wing on right facing street having canted
bay window on right and modern sash on left replacing door, central sash to
first floor. Left hand wing has 3-light gabled dormer in tiled section of
roof, 2-light below. Lean-to addition in angle. One sash to first floor in
south gable, 3-light casement in upper part of north gable. |
