The Duck was situated on Queensmead, Bedgrove. This pub closed in 2009 and was demolished in 2010.

The owners of The Duck in Bedgrove are troubled by a ghost who moves heavy objects around in the cellar at night. This, though, is not the worst aspect of the haunting as the sound of screaming has also been heard. The ghost has been seen when a figure in black was spotted standing by the bar after closing time.

Name Dates Comments Janet Palmer 1980s I'm trying to track down the pub sign from this much loved gathering place of the 80's. Large group of friends were made here over the years, marriages made and 50+ year friendships created. Lots and lots of happy memories for many young people. Very sad to see it flattened.
