The Nags Head was situated on Windsor Road. |

Joseph Burgess, the co-respondent, a
brickmaker at Mortimer, said he became acquainted with Mrs Kirk under the
name of Taylor, and they lived together as man and wife. He did not know she
was married, and he knew nothing about her or her husband. He lived with her
at “The Nag’s Head,” Slough. He was present when the citation was served on
the respondent. The landlord of “The Nag’s Head”, Windsor-road, Slough,
proved that the respondent and co-respondent had furnished apartments in his
house from September 1872 to December 27 1872, when they left ; and he had
reason to remember their leaving for she robbed him of a considerable sum of
money. He had not seen the woman since. |
From the Reading Mercury, 1873. |
