The Foresters Arms was situated on Bath Road.  This pub was present by 1881 when the publican was William Hunt.

I have fond memories of the Foresters Arms before the second World War. The proprietor was my grandfather, James Kent. My mother was born in Reading in 1896, but soon after the family moved to take over the Foresters. As children we often used to visit Slough, but sadly when we visited the Foresters for Christmas in 1936, from our home in South Wales, both of my grandparents died. I remember quite a lot about the Foresters even though my last visit inside was in December 1936.
