We have a page on Facebook, "The Clocky, Newbury", for
all the rockers and metalheads that used to call The Clocktower their
home away from home. |

I used to frequent at that time, the Kennet
Lounge, with my girlfriend Glynis Cook. It was such a beautiful and
friendly cozy place, even for Yanks. This is where I learned to drink
Teacher Scotch Whisky. I returned in the late 80's when I was stationed
in Ipswich, but it was not a pub. I am still looking for Glynis, we were
to marry, but daddy hated Yanks, and they moved away. |
