The Red Lion was situated at 1 Church Lane. This grade-II listed pub was present by 1834 and closed in 1917. It is now in residential use.

Listed building details:
House, former public house. Circa 1700 with later alterations. Colour washed rough cast over timber frame, with C20 mock framing to first floor exterior. Old clay tile roof. L-plan, with C19 colour washed brick rear wing with slate roof making almost square plan. 2 storeys. SE elevation has 3 sash windows with glazing bars to each floor. C20 casements elsewhere. External gable end stacks to 2 parallel wings, multiple ridge stack to cross-wing.
