The Cross Keys was situated on Market Square. This grade-II listed pub closed in 1988 and is now used as a bank.
 
Listed building details:
1899 in modified Carolean style. Red brick, slated roof with bracketed cornice, segmentally pedimented dormers, segmentally headed gable to west. 2 storeys and attics, 1st floor band. Sash windows, elliptically arched on ground floor, flat arches to 1st floor. Central doorway has Corinthian pilasters, broken segmental pediment.
